Shop Projects
The following photos are of a 1974 Nomad trailer that we completely gutted and rebuilt to use on
our hunting and fishing trips.  The first 7 photos show what we started with.
The following photos show the work that we have done to it so far. We started by
flipping the axles to give more ground clearance to the trailer.  We then stripped the
metal sides and roof off to replace all of the rotten wood frame work in the walls and
ceiling.  We went back with the original metal on the sides and will re paint the trailer
with the original colors.  We replaced the old metal roof with a rubber roof with 3/8"
decking under it.  We rebuilt new cabinets inside the coach and added fold down bunks
to the front and door side.  We installed two fold out couches as well.  Sleeps 4
comfortably.  We camoed the inside and put all new appliances in.  We added a flat
screen A/C-D/C tv in the cabinet above the sink so we can watch our hunting DVD's
while we are out.  We added an out side shower, storage compartment and flood lights
to the back of the trailer.  We installed a new style radius corner entry door.
We completely re wired the 110vac and 12 vdc and installed a new breaker box /
converter combo.  All of the plumbing has been upgraded as well.  We will soon add an
awning and screen room.
